Terms of Use

These terms are a binding agreement between you and HuMetric. They define permitted use of our consent-first professional identity, talent-discovery, search, API, MCP, and related services.

Effective and last updated: October 27, 2026 · v2026-10-27

Localized versions are provided for convenience. If a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account, submitting data, requesting early access, accessing a restricted feature, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not submit data or use the Service.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you act for an organization, you represent that you may bind it. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.

2. What HuMetric provides

HuMetric helps people structure professional information, choose one profile audience and make approved content discoverable. Features may include résumé parsing, profile publication and management, search, analytics, APIs, MCP access, optional distribution, and recruiter tools.

HuMetric is not an employer, employment agency, background-check or consumer reporting agency, legal adviser, or guarantor of identity, qualifications, ranking, hiring, or employment outcomes. We do not make hiring decisions or provide reports for credit, housing, insurance, or other eligibility decisions.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity under your credentials until you notify us, except where applicable law assigns responsibility elsewhere.

  • Provide accurate, current account information.
  • Protect credentials, API keys, management links, and devices; do not share them with unauthorized people.
  • Use only accounts, profiles, and external connections you own or are authorized to control.
  • Notify [email protected] promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

4. Your content, authority, and license

You own and control your submitted content. You represent that it is accurate to your knowledge, that you have the rights and lawful basis to submit it, and that it does not unlawfully expose another person’s confidential or personal data.

You grant HuMetric a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, parse, structure, improve, trim, secure, display, promote, transmit, index, withdraw, and otherwise process your content only to provide features you direct, protect the Service, and honor your audience choices and our Privacy Policy. HuMetric does not use your content to train HuMetric or general-purpose AI models. The license ends on deletion, except for limited backups, audit records, prior authorized disclosures, and legal retention.

Do not submit another person’s résumé or profile without documented authority, or include unnecessary sensitive data, employer confidential information, trade secrets, third-party contact lists, or infringing content.

5. Publication and consent controls

A résumé upload creates a private draft; publication requires separate confirmation. You choose one profile audience—public web, signed-in members only, or private—and optional external or social distribution requires the approvals shown in the product. We may delay or refuse publication to protect a person, verify authority, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

Consent steps. Humetric asks for your consent in three places. First, when you sign in for the first time, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy once, with a single checkbox. We record which version you accepted, when, where in the product and in which language; we do not record your IP address or browser user agent with that record. Second, when you publish, you choose the profile audience, which also decides whether paying members may pay to reveal your email, phone number and profile links (publishing to members or the web allows it, Private does not) and, as a separate choice, whether your public profile may be featured on the Humetric LinkedIn page. Third, when you connect an AI agent, you approve what it may do on one consent page and can change that later in your agent settings. If these Terms change materially, we ask you to accept the new version.

Contact sharing and the LinkedIn feature. Your email, phone and profile links aren’t listed on your profile. When you publish to members or the web, paying members can pay to reveal them, on Humetric or through their connected AI agent. Project links stay public. Choose Private to stop, which also hides earlier reveals the next time anyone looks. A phone number is revealed only if you gave one. Accepting these Terms shares nothing by itself; publishing does, and if your profile is already published when you accept this version, the same rule applies to it. Every reveal is logged. Staff-managed profiles and profiles built from public sources are never revealable. If your profile is on the public web, you can also allow Humetric to feature your public profile on the Humetric LinkedIn page. That option may be selected for you when you publish, and you can clear it before publishing or turn it off at any time. It uses only your public profile, never your email, phone number or profile links, and it ends when you turn it off or your profile stops being on the public web. We do not promise whether, when or how often a profile is featured. See Section 7 of the Privacy Policy.

You may change the audience, withdraw sharing, or request deletion at any time. We remove withdrawn content from future active responses. Complete erasure from independent caches, prior authorized recipients, and rotating backups may take more time or be outside our control.

Public content may be crawled, cached, quoted, or copied. We honor supported withdrawal controls but cannot guarantee deletion by every independent third party.

acceptable use policy

6. Prohibited use

Use HuMetric only for lawful professional identity, talent discovery, recruiting, and related evaluation consistent with a person’s settings and reasonable expectations. You must not:

  • violate privacy, data-protection, employment, anti-discrimination, intellectual-property, communications, export-control, sanctions, or other law;
  • scrape, harvest, bulk-export, resell, broker, or build a shadow database outside documented, authorized functions;
  • bypass exposure settings, access controls, rate limits, robots instructions, API limits, authentication, revocation, or consent;
  • use data for stalking, harassment, doxxing, surveillance, intimidation, fraud, phishing, spam, identity theft, or harm;
  • infer, target, rank, or discriminate using sensitive traits such as health, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, politics, sexual orientation, union membership, genetics, or precise private location;
  • make high-impact employment or eligibility decisions solely from HuMetric output without lawful human review, validation, notice, and a fair correction process;
  • impersonate, submit without authority, misrepresent identity or affiliation, or fabricate credentials;
  • upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, disrupt the Service, probe non-public data, or assist others in doing so;
  • use undocumented automation or volumes that degrade the Service; or
  • use HuMetric to train biometric, surveillance, facial-recognition, or general-purpose people-scoring systems without our written permission and all legally required consent.

7. Recruiters, employers, developers, and AI agents

Anyone accessing data for recruiting or another party remains responsible for a lawful purpose and basis, required notices, fair and non-discriminatory use, minimization, security, retention, and honoring objections or deletion. Use only returned fields for the declared professional purpose.

API, MCP, and agent operators must identify purpose when required, protect credentials, respect limits and field restrictions, prevent unauthorized downstream retention, and keep a human accountable for consequential decisions. Returned data is not permission for prohibited or sensitive inferences.

8. Recruiter terms

These terms apply to recruiters and recruiter workspaces in addition to the rest of these Terms. A recruiter accepts these Terms like any other member, at sign-in or when asked to accept a new version, and acceptance is versioned: we record which version was accepted.

A recruiter must use the Service only for lawful recruiting, must not contact candidates through unauthorized means or try to obtain contact details outside the consent flow of the product, and must not scrape or bulk-export candidate data.

When communication features (invitations and messages) are available, contact details are never shown in messages before acceptance. They are shared only when the candidate explicitly chooses “Accept and share my contact details”, after seeing exactly which fields will be shared. A reply never shares contact details, shared contact details cannot be taken back, and a recruiter cannot request or retrieve them any other way, except the paid contact reveal, on Humetric or through a connected agent, because the candidate published their profile to members or the web, as described in Section 5 and in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy.

When communication features (invitations and messages) are available and a candidate’s profile is anonymous, the recruiter sees only “Anonymous profile” until the candidate chooses “Accept and share my contact details”. That same action also reveals the candidate’s real name to that recruiter, and the confirmation shows the name and the contact fields before the candidate agrees.

When communication features (invitations and messages) are available, a connected AI agent can read, send, or decide only with separate application permissions that the person chooses, and a human approves every message and decision an agent sends. An agent receives another person’s contact details only after its member pays to reveal them.

We may suspend a recruiter workspace on abuse reports and review the case afterwards.

9. AI and data quality

Parsing, matching, summaries, search, and generated text may be incomplete, outdated, biased, or wrong. Review sources, obtain required consent, and independently verify facts. A score, result order, summary, or absence is not proof of merit or suitability.

HuMetric does not guarantee indexing, ranking, citations, third-party visibility, candidate fit, response rates, or any business or employment outcome.

10. Third-party services and open-source software

The Service may interoperate with identity, hosting, database, model, social, and other providers governed by their own terms. HuMetric is not responsible for their independent conduct. Connecting a service authorizes only the operations clearly presented at that time.

Open-source code remains governed by its accompanying license. These Terms govern the hosted Service and do not override an applicable open-source license.

11. HuMetric property and feedback

Except for your content and third-party materials, HuMetric and its licensors retain rights in the Service, brand, design, documentation, and software. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service as permitted here. Feedback may be used without restriction or payment, without publicly identifying you unless you agree.

12. Suspension, deletion, and termination

You may stop using the Service, delete your account on the Account page, or request deletion under the Privacy Policy. Account deletion removes public visibility immediately and becomes permanent after a 30-day window during which signing in can cancel it; registering again later creates a new account. We may limit, suspend, remove content, or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, material or repeated breach, risk to another person, nonpayment, or discontinuation. Where practical and lawful, we provide notice and an opportunity to appeal or export content.

When communication features (invitations and messages) are available, deleting an account deletes message content, and a content-free audit record remains, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Ownership, permitted audit and legal retention, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and provisions that by nature should survive will remain effective after termination.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” HuMetric disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and outcomes. Nothing excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HuMetric and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profit, opportunity, goodwill, data, or employment outcomes. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of what you paid HuMetric during the preceding 12 months or US$100.

These limits do not apply where prohibited, including non-limitable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, business users will defend and indemnify HuMetric and its contributors against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from unlawful content, lack of authority, prohibited use, or material breach. This does not apply to the extent caused by HuMetric’s own breach or misconduct.

16. Governing law and disputes

Before filing a claim, email [email protected] and allow 30 days for a good-faith resolution attempt. Unless mandatory law provides another right, these Terms are governed by Taiwan (Republic of China) law, without conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court. Mandatory consumer forums remain available.

17. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, or Service changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice or renewed acceptance for material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively. An unenforceable provision will be limited as necessary while the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without consent; we may transfer them with the Service subject to law.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement for the Service unless a separate written agreement applies. Contact: [email protected].
